We re-checked 34 prop firms’ rules: around 100 corrections, one closure and a run of cohort-split changes

PropFirm Beacon research desk · Published

OANDA Prop Trader is gone, Goat restricts copy trading to its own tool, and more firms now keep two sets of rules depending on when you bought.

How we checked

Between 31 October and 2 November 2026 we compared every trading-rule flag in our dataset with each firm’s current official help centre: news trading, EAs, weekend and overnight holding, copy trading, deadlines, crypto and payout consistency. We changed a flag only where the firm’s own wording contradicted it, and we kept the source link.

Around 100 fields changed. Most corrections turned a blanket ‘yes’ into ‘limited’, because the rule differs between evaluation and funded stages, between account types, or between purchase dates. We could not read the current rules of Funding Ticks and The Funded Trader, and only partly those of Legends Trading. We have not changed their entries, and we do not treat them as re-verified.

A closure: OANDA Prop Trader

OANDA’s help centre states that the OANDA Prop Trader dashboard, login and dedicated support are no longer available after 30 April 2026, and it told users to download their records first. Our OANDA pages remain as a historical record and are labelled as such. Even a firm backed by a large regulated broker can close its prop business.

Notable rule changes

Goat Funded Trader: from 12 October 2026, only the GOAT Trade Copier may be used for copy trading, and copying from an external account is banned even when the account is your own. In the same month it documented a VPN/VPS ban, a self-developed-only EA rule and a 1% cap on profit from trades near high-impact news.

The Edge Funder: Standard V2 from 15 September 2026 raises payout consistency from 20% to 25% and the minimum payout from $150 to $1,000, and removes resets. Original Standard accounts are not changed. Blueberry Funded: synthetic accounts bought from 8 October 2026 move from 30% to 25% consistency and allow self-built EAs; Instant Lite bought from 17 August 2026 gained a 15% rule.

The pattern: rules by purchase date

Earn2Trade, Edge Funder, Blueberry, OneFunded, Funding Pips, Tradeify and Topstep each now keep different rules for older and newer customers. That protects existing accounts, but a review written six months ago can describe rules a new buyer will never get. Before you buy, read the rule page on the day of purchase and save a copy.

Every change is listed with its source and whether it reaches existing accounts in our rule-change tracker.
