OneFunded rules explained

Short answer

The rules that decide whether you keep a OneFunded account are the drawdown model (intraday trailing), the consistency requirement (none disclosed on the core core/value plans) and the 2-step evaluation targets. Everything else — news, EAs, weekend holding — is secondary until you have those three internalised.

The drawdown mechanic — read this twice

OneFunded uses an intraday trailing drawdown. Your loss limit follows your highest unrealised equity of the day, not your closing balance. In practice that means a trade that runs $1,200 in profit and then closes flat has permanently moved your stop-out level up by $1,200 — you can end the day break-even and still be closer to a breach than when you started. This single mechanic ends more funded accounts than every other rule combined.

Whatever the model, size your risk against the buffer rather than the account size. The practical rule we use: never let a single campaign risk more than a third of the distance between current equity and the breach level.

Consistency and payout-eligibility rules

Consistency rules are where traders lose money they have already made. On OneFunded the stated position is: None disclosed on the core Core/Value plans. That leaves the payout gate mostly to the drawdown and minimum-days requirements.

The mechanic to watch is the single-best-day percentage. Where a firm caps one day at a share of total profit, a single outsized win can push a payout out by weeks because you must grind additional smaller days to bring the ratio back inside the cap. If you scalp news or trade one high-conviction setup a week, that mechanic will hurt you far more than a slightly lower profit split.

Full rule matrix

Each flag below is read off OneFunded's public rulebook and paired with the actual mechanic, because "allowed" means very different things from firm to firm.

  • News trading: conditionally allowed — Restrictions vary by program (Flash, Core, Value, Instant) — confirm per plan.
  • Expert advisors / algos: allowed — EAs permitted on MT5 and cTrader.
  • Weekend holding: conditionally allowed — Varies by program — confirm before holding into a weekend.
  • Overnight holding: allowed — Overnight positions generally permitted.
  • Copy trading: conditionally allowed — Own accounts only.
  • No time limit: allowed — No deadline on the standard programs.
  • Crypto pairs: allowed — Crypto available across the roughly 200+ instrument list.
  • No consistency rule: conditionally allowed — Not prominently documented — confirm current terms for your specific program.

Rules that end accounts in practice

Beyond the headline limits, these are the clauses OneFunded actually enforces.

  • Add-on required to reach the higher split and faster payout: The base offer is an 80% split with a 14-day payout cycle; reaching 90% and a 7-day cycle requires purchasing an add-on. Compare the loaded, all-in price against a competitor's baseline plan rather than the advertised headline split alone.
  • Multiple program lines with different rule profiles: Flash, Core, Value and Instant differ in speed, price and risk parameters. Confirm which program's specific rules apply before assuming a company-wide policy.
  • Broad instrument coverage: Access spans forex, crypto, stocks, indices and commodities — wider than most single-asset-class competitors, though execution quality and spreads across such a broad list are worth testing on a demo before funding a full challenge.

Rule stability

OneFunded does not currently appear in our rule-change register, meaning we have not logged a material rulebook revision for it in the tracked period. Re-check before each payout anyway — firms are not obliged to announce changes prominently.
