Funding Ticks rules explained
Short answer
The rules that decide whether you keep a Funding Ticks account are the drawdown model (end-of-day trailing), the consistency requirement (no single day > 30% of net profit) and the 1-step evaluation targets. Everything else — news, EAs, weekend holding — is secondary until you have those three internalised.

The drawdown mechanic — read this twice
Funding Ticks uses an end-of-day trailing drawdown. The limit trails your closing balance, not intraday spikes, so an unrealised runner that gives back profit does not permanently raise your stop-out level. It is meaningfully more forgiving than intraday trailing, but it still ratchets: every profitable close moves the floor up and never back down.
Whatever the model, size your risk against the buffer rather than the account size. The practical rule we use: never let a single campaign risk more than a third of the distance between current equity and the breach level.
Consistency and payout-eligibility rules
Consistency rules are where traders lose money they have already made. On Funding Ticks the stated position is: No single day > 30% of net profit. 30% max single-day share of net profit at payout.
The mechanic to watch is the single-best-day percentage. Where a firm caps one day at a share of total profit, a single outsized win can push a payout out by weeks because you must grind additional smaller days to bring the ratio back inside the cap. If you scalp news or trade one high-conviction setup a week, that mechanic will hurt you far more than a slightly lower profit split.

Rules that end accounts in practice
Beyond the headline limits, these are the clauses Funding Ticks actually enforces.
- End-of-day trailing drawdown: The loss floor follows your closing balance each session and stops trailing once it reaches the starting balance. It does not follow intraday equity peaks, so an unrealised spike does not permanently raise your floor — an important difference from Apex's intraday model.
- 30% consistency rule: No single trading day may account for more than 30% of the net profit in a payout cycle. This is the strictest consistency clause among the cheap futures firms and it is enforced at withdrawal, not at pass. A trader who makes most of a month's profit on one CPI print will be asked to trade more days before the payout clears.
- No daily loss limit: There is no separate daily stop-out on the standard evaluation; the trailing floor is the only hard limit. That gives more room to recover a bad open, but it also removes the guardrail that stops a revenge-trading session from ending the account.
- Five winning days before withdrawal: A winning day is any session that closes green by a minimum amount set by the firm. Five of them unlock the first request; after that withdrawals are on demand within the consistency cap.
Rule stability
Funding Ticks appears 1 time in our rule-change register. At least one of those changes was applied retroactively to open accounts — the strongest single warning signal we track. A rulebook that moves is a rulebook you have to re-read before every payout cycle.
